Message I was sitting around today looking through some old pictures
and couldn't believe how different my Z looks today than it did
3 years ago when I bought it, or even the fact that I have had
it almost 3 years already. It sure has changed a lot. Well
anyways heres some pictures and info.

2000
I bought my car in early December 2000 and took it home. It
didn't really have anything done to it with the exception of a
hacked up stereo, and a couple assorted stickers. On the bright
side though I got a bunch of receipts of past service.

2001
These are the first pictures I have of my car
-The day 1 pictures were lost to an evil exgirlfriend so late May 01 is the earliest I have.

Me standing by my car with the SSR's and HKS Hiper.

The stock fascia, chipped and sagging...and that ugly Stillen sticker on the headlight.

Tail lights before they were cleared....the white looks much better
without the stock wing IMO. Looking back it was too much before.

See what I mean?

The blah stock interior....had a shift knob and pedals. That steering
wheel cover is long gone btw.

Later that year I added the Wings West body kit, did some dress up, went to stage III, and performed
some reliability mods.

2002
I got kinda crazy with the show mods following my first BIG show.
The Autorama in January of 02 taught me a fair amount and here's
a brief run down of what the car saw.

Cleared the tail lights and added clear corners...

Added Sparco Torino's and later did a custom red interior...

Redid the stereo and ditched the ugly double din unit that was
in the car when I bought it and added a Panasonic DVD/Navi Unit.

Added J-spec emblem, treated the car to its first clay bar and
she started looking good...

Upgraded the gauges as I realized the stock ones were inaccurate
and not worth counting on.

Also, in 2002 I began to race my car. Did several autocross events
and my first road course event. I began to do a lot of Z type
things and attended ZCON in San Antonio. Went to Stage IV
and continued to improve the car.

2003
Did my 2nd Autorama in January, won some decent awards
and learned a lot about shows. I was ready for a big year.
Well this year I didn't drive it much, put a couple hundred miles on
it, took it to a show and won then began to have some issues
and retired it for the year and what was a simple build plan has now
turned into a major high power all around build.

Looking pretty at the Autorama in January....

Engine Bay this spring....

Additional interior improvements....

Loading up to head to Slick Motorsports for the build....

A couple pictures of the parts going on the car....

Anyways, the car will be done in time for Autorama 2004 in late
January. Here is a list of what is coming.....

Those that have seen it know that it has come a long way. It is my baby and will be versitle after the build as
I will still occassionally auto-x and race the car and will show
it now and then.

Some will hate it, some will love it. Take it for what you will. I love
it and am thrilled with it. Anyone considering buying a Z....do it!
They are not cheap cars but the amount of fun and joy the car
brings is price less.

Anyways...hope you enjoyed my post on a slow night on the forum.
Enjoy the ride.

Z ya,
Jerry
